Geofencing: You can mark up an area on the map, and if the person you’re spying on leaves or enters that area, you get a notification on your registered email. It’s good for keeping track of where someone is.
Live Recording: The Live Recording feature of SpyX is next level, it allows you to remotely capture screenshots, screen recording, and audio on the target device.

Well, rest assured, SpyX operates seamlessly on both iOS and Android platforms, rendering it a versatile surveillance tool. The best part? It boasts compatibility with numerous Android phones (version 4.0 and higher) as well as iPhones (iOS 9 and above). Just to give you a heads-up, I tested it on a Samsung M12 running on Android 13 for this review.
How To Use?
SpyX operates as discreet spyware that requires installation on the target Android device. However, for iPhone, it offers the convenience of spying through iCloud without the need for installation. Simply having the iCloud credentials of the target individual allows you to monitor them seamlessly without any app installation on their device.
Once you’ve set up the SpyX application on the target phone, logging into your online SpyX account (established during the app setup) enables you to remotely monitor all the gathered data without arousing any suspicion from the target person.
While SpyX doesn’t provide a free trial option, you can explore its free live demo to familiarize yourself with the app’s interface and capabilities.
SpyX has a clean dashboard showcasing all the notifications from various monitoring features. It also shows you the recent messages, photos, and contacts. A syncronize button is provided on the top left side of the dashboard allowing you to manually sync the recorded data. Overall, I like the clean and intuitive dashboard of the SpyX app.

Photos & Videos
Spyx keeps track of photos and videos once you install it on the target phone. It’s not super quick at showing you the latest photos and videos compared to some other apps, like KidsGuard Pro. In my test, I found that getting them may take a bit of time.
However, the best thing is that it allows you to play the video on the dashboard itself, unlike KidsGuard Pro which only shows the video’s thumbnail.
Location Tracking
Worried about your teen’s whereabouts when they’re out and about? SpyX is here to ease your mind. With its location tracking feature, you can easily keep tabs on where your loved ones are. It shows you their recent locations on a map with details like addresses and timestamps.
Plus, it even lets you set up safe zones called Geofences.
You’ll get notifications whenever they enter or leave these areas, giving you peace of mind about their safety. Setting up Geofences is simple and flexible, allowing you to customize them based on specific days and times. Overall, in my test, I found that SpyX provides accurate tracking and helpful features to ensure your teen’s safety when they’re not with you.
Calls & Contacts
SpyX’s Call Logs feature keeps track of your teen’s phone calls, providing essential details like caller names, numbers, Addresses, durations, and timestamps. Even if call records are deleted, SpyX can still retrieve them unless done instantly. However, during my testing, I found it does not offer a call recording feature as seen on its competitors like KidsGuard Pro and FlexiSPY.
Besides call records, SpyX also offers comprehensive contact details, including emails allowing you to easily uncover disguised identities. Its efficient search function ensures thorough scrutiny of all contacts, promoting transparency and security in relationships.
Text Messages
SpyX allows you to monitor your child’s and spouse’s text messages, offering insights into their conversations, including timestamps. During testing, I found SpyX can display deleted messages, except those instantly removed after sending or receiving. If you want to read the deleted text messages of your husband or wife then you can go for spyware like SpyBubble Pro or mSpy.
Social Application
Monitoring someone is not complete without social applications. SpyX allows you to seek a peak into someone’s social media activities with the help of screenshots. So, what it does is that whenever the target person opens any social media app on their phone, SpyX captures a screenshot of it. The captured screenshots are then synced to your SpyX dashboard so you can view them remotely.
However, unlike some other spyware I have tested in the past, this app does not have a keylogger so it can’t provide you with the text the target person is typing on these apps. Nonetheless, with the help of screenshots, you can read their messages and see what they are typing on these apps.
Following are social apps that SpyX can track: WhatsApp, WeChat, Tinder, Line, Telegram, Viber, Kik, Snapchat, Teams, QQ, Skype, Discord, and Messenger.
Entertainment Applications
Similar to social applications, SpyX also monitors entertainment applications like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. It captures the screenshots of these apps whenever they are accessed by the target person on their phone.
While using SpyX I noticed that it captures the screenshots in good quality making it easier to see what type of content the target person consumes daily. It is a good tool for parents who want to keep their minors away from adult content.
Email Applications
Besides social media and entertainment apps, SpyX also allows you to monitor the Emails of the target person. Currently, it supports email tracking from applications like Gmail and Easilydo Mail.
Since most people use Gmail to send or receive emails, SpyX is sufficient to read someone’s email without them knowing.
Live Recording
Live recording is an advanced feature provided by SpyX. This feature allows you to capture live audio and screen recordings of the target phone. Moreover, it gives you the power to capture a live screenshot on the target phone and see what the target person is doing on their phone in real time. Let’s discuss these features in detail.
Live Video
To capture a live screen recording of the target phone you need to go to the Live Video section and click on the Record Now button from the top right corner. Next, you need to select the duration of recording ranging from 15 sec to 2 min.
After you select the time the recording will start and within a few minutes the recorded video will be available to view on your dashboard remotely. To view the video you need to click on the video playback icon.
Live Audio
Similar to live video you can capture live audio on the target phone. Just click on the Record Now button and choose the audio recording duration which ranges from 2 min to 10 minutes. Once the audio recording is complete you will find it on your dashboard from where you can listen.
Live Screenshot
The Live Screenshot feature allows you to capture screenshots on the target phone by clicking the Record Now button on the top right corner of the dashboard. In my test, I found that it may take some time for the captured screenshot to show up on your screen so you need to be a little patient.
Overall, in my opinion, Live Recording is a great feature that makes monitoring someone easy. However, for this feature to work the target phone must be connected to the internet and the phone screen should be on.

Here’s how to install the SpyX app on an Android device:
